Day of Caring Launches 2009 Campaign
Be sure to join us for our Day of Caring event on Thursday, August 27th. Volunteers will participate in projects such as: painting, building wheelchair ramps, minor home repairs, washing windows, general cleaning and yard work. Projects a
United Way Partners with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
All preschool children (birth until their 5th birthday) are eligible for this program. Each month a new, carefully selected book is mailed directly to the child's home. This program is free to children, however the United Way pays $28

Day of Caring is the official kickoff of the United Way annual campaign. This effort began in 1997 with 15 projects and 75 volunteers. Last year, 34 projects were completed by approximately 400 volunteers. The mission is to improve the quality of life for the elderly and disabled residents by improving safety and living conditions in their homes.
