United Way Partners with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Day of Caring

Day of Caring is the official kickoff of the United Way annual campaign.  This effort began in 1997 with 15 projects and 75 volunteers.  Last year, 34 projects were completed by approximately 400 volunteers.  The mission is to improve the quality of life for the elderly and disabled residents by improving safety and living conditions in their homes.

Free discount prescription cards are available to anyone purchasing medicine not covered by insurance.

Last year, 1,063 prescriptions were filled in Haywood County, saving our residents $27,370.
