THE SALVATION ARMY

A Salvation Army Emergency Disaster team from Waynesville, NC is serving in areas devastated by the floods that swept through West Virginia on June 23, 2016. To date, The Salvation Army has served more than 27,500 meals and 45,500 snacks and drinks, given 352 clean-up kits, staff members and trained volunteers have worked 1,927 hours of service, and provided 764 individuals with emotional and spiritual care.

Major David Cope, commanding officer of The Salvation Army of Waynesville, and volunteers Roger Whitaker and Robert Phillips and currently serving in West Virginia through next week.
